Might need a lawyer idk
I dont know much though. Maybe its really important.
Yes, you should delete your account, AND call your AG to discuss making sure all your data is deleted.
Deleting your account will do nothing, you need to send a data destruction request ( im not sure if the US has this ).
it could be impactful in the sense that a person could find out more about their ancestry and that could help them in ways both sociological and medical. it could be helpful. but the company went under and even though they state that whomever buys them must abide by the laws they did, it's still dna, it's ultra private data and since the whole board of the company just picked up and left i think it's an individual responsibility to wipe all data from their servers, those who used it don't really know who will buy the company.

"The midrash also reveals Samael fathered Cain with Eve."
Then they go "bankrupt" (woops!) and conveniently will transfer their data to "another company". Getting something like that deleted, and being able to verify it was deleted, seems like it would be impossible.
It seems more like the job was done. Through ancestry, 23andme, heel pricks done at birth and blood etc from other medical tests, they got what they wanted.
i see other commercials on tv sometimes for programs like 23andme, that are testing your dna for probabilities of things like cancer and such based on your genetics and family history. perhaps they are just having too much competition now?
