It's really cool, and it can be the future. But what would be needed is an open-standard air-to-air protocol for automatic traffic control between nearby drones of different companies. Once that exists, regulators need to give the go-ahead for companies to build it. With some noise standards and no-fly zones around airports, of course.

Until that, nobody really wants to invest in it. And there's a pretty good chance that boomer regulators think it's scary and outright ban it, or just give big tech a monopoly.

Just wait until AI divides the air space up into 'air zones' across the X, Y, and Z planes. You'll see. Autonomous vehicles will become much more practical then.

Its nice tho, that America has no regulations and will test this technology, so when its safe and ready we can deploy it in Europe :)

If you watch the entire video, you will see just how many miles the drones have actually traveled, and how many human injuries have occurred.

I am 25% in, but I am guessing this is more or less a promo video so I wouldnt trust any statistics, but I seen how autonomous cars ♥♥♥♥ people up and I wouldnt want that kind stuff being tested on me, If Elon likes this stuff he can test is where his family lives.

Which means the lower and middle classes are one step closer to disposal because they would be resource draining useless excess surplus which means the people that run our show might begin disposing of those classes.
