Art, what is your favourite picture / sculpture?
Topic inspired by Midnight Sky

Is there a picture or sculpture that stands out to you?
It doesnt have to be famous.

What kind of art do you like the most?

For me I like Impressionism, I cannot tell you anything about it because then I would have to study the artists understand everything there is to know about impressionism and then it would just be a subject and not something I like to look at.

It would lose all appeal.
I can just open an image search engine and look at the page filled with the pictures.
I love the variety and the stories you can come up with as to what is going on in that snapshot world of 'nice' .

Sculpture would have to be Donatello's David (not to be confused with Michelangelo).
Donatello's David was touching on dangerous territory.
It is nothing how I would consider David but layers of the current times being so vocal in its creation.

"the valley of death" by zdzisław beksiński is my favourite piece of art of all time. and in general, he is one of my favourite artists. i have a lot of art by suguru tanaka on my profile as well.

i enjoy surreal horror art.

besides both of them, kentaro miura (mangaka of berserk) has created an incredible amount of disturbing, surreal horror art.

I've always loved this painting depicting a woman who is beyond embarrassed after losing her wig to a gust of wind. You can just sense that the two people behind her are laughing.

the Giant Stone Buddha at Leshan Mountain (in Sichuan Province),

they made it in ancient times, amazing work for their time,

now we have Internet and endless talk fizzling away our time, without any remarkable work of our own.

Right, the artist deleted their fanbox a long time ago. They're still up on patreon though.
Yes... but I can't show it here... on account of the prospect of getting banned yet again.

Now I'm curious... post it in my profile :WH3_greasus_rofl:
I'd have to say my favorite artist is Hans-Werner Sahm:

I've always liked the forced perspectives and the integration of the industrial with the natural.

I actually have a framed print of "Piece Of Scenery" in my living room.

It's located within my Telegram channel... under the thread "Miscellaneous".
I've always liked the Lilith painting by John Collier and William Blakes The Dance of Albion
