Why do drunk men target me?

Not sure why but I’m the first thing that comes to their mind when they get drunk. They get mean or flirty. Completely nice people when sober.

This keeps happening again and again. Just leave me alone!

Edit: to clarify. It’s men I’ve known for a while and gotten along. Just one day they get drunk and turn into a different person. They zero in on me for some reason.

alcohol lowers inhibitions, cognitive functions, emotional control. still, i always am taking it as a massive red flag personally if someones behaviour changes immensely when intoxicated. to me it shows that they hold such values or beliefs all the time, but are only comfortable saying them or doing them when drunk.

my personality does not change when i get drunk, i just act like a happier version of myself.

it is disturbing to say but perhaps they simply see you as an easier target for their aggressive flirtations. they know you personally, the "ice" is already being broken. so maybe in their drunken minds they think they can more easily persuade you of something versus a stranger.

well... the thing is if you go with friends... next tine they ask you out you can tell them that you can't. You need to stay home watering your cactus or make any BS but yeay... that sucks if thats ur case.

they all sound like immature or awful people, honestly. the only ones i would even consider still remaining friends with are the ones who were mean (but not aggressive or flirtatious, or anything else creepy) but sincerely apologised after.

and even then, i would probably never drink with them again.

Almost all of them are in their mid or late 30s and older than me lol

Only one I considered a friend but others were just people I sometimes interacted with. So, I just decided that we would never be friends.

I don’t even drink with them. They get drunk and start messaging or calling me.

That’s why it feels purposeful.

I have. Some are apologetic. Others shift the responsibility on me to avoid them when they are drunk. A few just act like it’s an unavoidable thing and don’t feel guilty at all.
