For the first time, the anime protagonists of Pokémon grow up!

The previous old kid in retirement known as "Ash Ketchum" has never aged, he was always 10, but now, our dear new protagonistas Liko and Roy finally become 1 year older in the anime which means that for the first time we get protagonistas in the Pokémon anime who age (kinda like humans in real life...)

However their age is unknown unlike the famous kid from Paleta Town 🤷‍♀️

Their age is now n+1 😀👍

to be fair, he DOES look taller and older as the series go on.

the one right after diamond and pearl, series 5 (black and white) sucks, and is widely considered the worst series in the whole anime sadly.

but series 6 (x and y) is often considered one of the best. and the animation is beautiful, so perhaps watch that one?

Not considered protagonist but is part of the team...

And well villains now are soo much better...
