as a matter of fact there is a conspiracy to make topology more confusing than it needs to be, because god loses his mind when he analyzes a torus topographically (past trauma, not explaining right now,) so the more we obfusificate the process the less likely he is to casually run into it somewhere.

we've broken fundamental axioms and mathematical realities several times as a result, and it's a wonder anything we make works at all.

here, I'll give an example: 0 = √-1. can be proven in 118 steps (or so), using 1-2 variables and a basic definition of 0 nobody would disagree with. but, god's convinced 11 = 10 and 10 = 11 in binary, so when he sees 118 steps he thinks it's 108. and he deletes the same 10 steps from the proof every time, and it's always the same 10 'redundant steps' because he doesn't believe the quadratic formulae is legitimate because it's "hard to remember," so he doesn't consider the proof valid. I could post it but most of you know it already, and/or would activate and plot my death.
