They made maybe two decent songs each. I do quite like the unintended comedic brilliance of R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet.

OP is correct. R. Kelly and P. Diddy (formerly known as Puff Daddy) made some incredible bangers. If it wasn't for their forays into bad choices of the sexual nature, they would be heralded instead of reviled. R. Kelly actually reflected once about the path he decided upon, "My mind's telling me NO, but my body, my body, is telling me YES..."
