New in Steam
Hi, I recently signed up for Steam and currently I topped up my wallet with HK$100 and I want to ask for some game recommendations before the sale finishes if that's okay, I'm not sure what to look for but I really like casual and relaxing games or something with fun open world exploration. I was also thinking of a multiplayer game, is Dead by Daylight any fun? It has a good sale right now

Thank you in advance

Dead by Daylight has a toxic af community, but that might be fun for you, idk. DayZ is fun if you don't like fun.

I'll also recommend Skyrim, a great open-world game with lots of places to explore.

You might also want to have a look at Cyberpunk 2077, another open-world game that has hundreds of quests and side quests.

Cyberpunk looks fun, sadly the game is $179 :(
Thank you however

Always check the games forum if your going to play a game that has multiplayer to see if the game is still active.

Hmm...

Games that should be in your price range:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/413150/Stardew_Valley/

Pretty popular and cozy farm sim with a lot of content and online co-op if you have friends.

Simple singleplayer animal survival(?) game with a story. The story is sweet, the game is kind of short but it has a decent gameplay loop and some replayability (more so than the first game, which is purely a linear story). Can be a little stressful sometimes.

A 2D sandbox set in space. It's light-hearted in tone. Basically, you get to captain your own ship, gather a crew (optional), explore the universe and save it (optional, part of the story). Exploring planets can be fun but may get tedious after a while, especially since they're all procedurally generated and not made by hand. I would recommend this game only if you are open to modding it eventually, as the vanilla game will get a little lame after a while. The most popular mod to expand the game is Frackin' Universe but I would play vanilla first to have a good frame of reference. The game can also be played multiplayer, but there's not many live servers and you'll likely have to search them up online to find them.

Basically 3 RPGs in one; it has combat but can be played casually. More story-based but they're all open world. I'd probably just let the game's page speak for itself tbh.

Also, I've not played Dead by Daylight. I have been told that it can be fun, but it seems to have a bit of a toxic community at times as well. But it seems to have a lot of regular players too? I've seen some people clock some insane hours into it, so it must be good enough to play that much lol.
I haven't played either one, but you might like Tiny Glade, and there's also Fields of Mistria which is similar to Stardew Valley.

Hi peppermint, thank you for the recommendation. I decided to purchase Tiny Glade because it looks really cute

Thank you guys! I only have $24 left after Tiny Glades so not too much but I might get Firewatch, so thank you~
