It´s aesthetically nice and has a message. Which is more than most recent movies do (guessing, as i rarely watch movies).

And it features classic music. Once meant as a drinking song, written after having too much wine (meaning the peom, not the music) - but now it´s the hymn of the EU since 1972. Somehow fits though - also in either way, be it honestly or ironic, which is nice. Nowadays it´s rather ironic i guess. One needs to drink a lot to believe it - as the EU doesn´t really act like this at all.

So:

All sinners shall be forgiven,
and hell shall be no more."

(which somehow isn´t part of this version...)

Just imagine if they used actors that were the same age as they were in the book. Of course it wouldn't be allowed considering some of the stuff they did in the book, but it would emphasize the degeneration of that society.
