FACTS
Specially because of Microsoft's and other larger corporations deliberate decision to call the GNU (or GNU/Linux) operating system by the name of its kernel, and their decision to phrase Libre & Open Source Software only as "open source", in order to maintain a steril environment, without many other ideals that may come up when we talk about libre and public domain.
But by all means, support the kernel as well!
