Favourite console?

I dont mean to start some console war, just curious what's the best console in people's opinion.

SNES and GBA-SP were the best. Genesis and N64 was great, too.
PS1 and 2 were brilliant. 1st gen PS3 was the last console worth more than a bucket of spit.

That controller was perfection.
Some games had LAN play and one even had legit online play.

PS2, PS3 and PS4 and favourite handle is PSP but that said almost got all newer consoles byside Xbox series X for don't see any reason to buy it, all Xbox are just on PC and yes it's almost the same for PS games sadly so very very very very soon no reason to buy any console longer

I think the Genesis core system and games were decent, though I was a Nintendo kid at the time.

If no; Honestly, I may actually have to say the Xbox Series S/X. Besides being able to play most current gen games, the big advantage is the huge backwards compatibility list. A lot of which actually gets boosted thanks to the increased power.
Sonic Unleashed, Burnout Revenge, Ninja Gaiden Black, so many games that otherwise would be locked to their original family of systems (and also never got PC ports) are still playable. The only reason PS5 isn't on this level is because it locks this basic functionality behind a subscription service (this could be wrong though, correct me if so) as well as the library not being nearly as big or impressive.
The Series S is probably the console I enjoy the most nowadays, alongside the PS3 for the few playstation titles that aren't on xbox.
The biggest flaw it has is missing out of playstation 5 exclusives which, in my opinion, you aren't really missing that much anyways. No astrobot or demon's souls sucks, but you can live without tlou or ratchet & clank.

Otherwise, I guess the PS3 for largely the same reason. Being able to play PS1 discs natively is super neat, alongside a lot of the classics being available digitally making some games MUCH more accessible without spending insane amounts (Xenogears comes to mind).

If yes; Nintendo DS. Simply put, it has a lot of great games on it and is a perfect handheld system. The only real upside the PSP has over it is getting access to more Final Fantasy games, but if you have a DS Lite/Phat that hardly even matters because you get access to the GBA library as well.

Backwards compatible is key for a good system. A system that only plays one family of games is about as lame as you can get.
