What would replace tomatos

There is a fruit very close to the tomato that is also native to the American continent. Its called Cubiu. Its endemic to Amazon.

There is also caqui/kaki (persimmon) that is native to Asia and resembles tomato in other ways.

Paprika is good through stuff as an alternative maybe and eggplants ? I'm trying to imagine how eggplants could be used like tomatoes, I don't think they are as versatile.

Sauce Hollondaise. So basically butter. And for Spaghetti i´m not even sure if most sauces are made with tomatoes - a good bunch is made with cream.

Cheese and cream. With pasta, if it's not tomato then it's creamy cheese and eggs which could be used for pizza or as a sauce.

We'd probably breed a bigger grape. You can also pickle them for a taste that's more tart.
