About D&D games
They're so damn outdated when they arrive.

By the time they're released. Another ground breaking game is released and they're stuck in the past.

Sometimes they do catch up but that is because the past games have pushed all other games forward.

It's not an enigma to make them but yet that is why skyrim was released and yet played today since there simply nothing else to pick.

What you can pick is inferior to the alternative genre.

And it's mostly because everyone fear to step their toes on Wotc.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was released, where are the other games?

What is the gaming industry really doing? Wasting time. Making sure only one wins.
And they lose.

Since I don't understand why.

replayability, some also prefer older rulesets.

i love 2nd ed, since it was fairly simple, and you dont spend ages on character creation. so BG2 is still popular with me.

well, and people working on it probably have the calling but not the gift. i cant excuse that, lol.

WOTC turning villain probably didnt help, either tho...

CRPG's have not had a large profit for decades minus a few like Balder's Gate 3. So you have a small team working on them, which equals more time to be finished so by the time they are released, most things are already on the next level compared to them.

From Software has to be charged making a D&D lore based RPG. Though i did hear the Dark Alliance devs are delisting the game in the near future, and coming out with a new project.

I think we have enough non RPG DnD games, no need to make more

My favorite Dungeons & Dragons video games would be Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition and Neverwinter Nights 2. Baldur's Gate 3 is difficult since I enjoy the story but not really Fifth Edition outside of the Divine Soul subclass for Sorcerer.
