Do you like your culture's food? Cause I don't.
I'm Filipino - American and I find a good portion of filipino foods to be... bland or bad. The only reason why some people that claim to "like" filipino food is that they eat a heavily modified version of them in different restaurants or whoever was cooking them made it different. Either by adding more spices or flavor. The kind of Filipino foods that I ate growing up were always either bland or too salty. They were always made to be "basic" and easy to cook and accessible. Not some fancy looking dish that came from 3 star restaurant. I especially get annoyed when I'm told I'm a "fake" Filipino from other Filipino Americans when they dont even eat Filipino food everyday compared to when I was a kid. And believe me, you will get CRAZY eating the same thing everyday.

If I had a choice, I would rather eat mediterannean food everyday.

There is nothing in this world better than a nice juicy hamburger washed down with a frosty mug of beer.

personally, i think they also heavily modified their foods to appeal to the masses. we already have a lot of sugary filipino foods. filipino version of mcdonalds.

Moderately (swede here). Some are ok, but generally far too salty food.

I think most foods in most cultures are easy to cook with commonly available local ingredients.

I am American though, I can't really think of anything that is just bland, and what is probably the most common dinner here is a piece of meat, like steak, chicken breast, pork chop, etc, with a side of potatoes, usually baked or boiled, and a vegetable. But I've never had this without good seasoning and flavor. Of course, we have a lot of fast food and junk food too, that's just not something you'd want to eat on a regular basis.

Nothing better than a home cooked roast dinner (UK) - I've got a rib of beef coming up to room temp for the Christmas dinner today.

Gravy, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing etc.
there's some nice stuff
no it sucks
