well i cannot teach you style and dress code in a short reply but get some dark socks and a mirror and do your own tests. Dark socks are for adults, white socks are for schoolboys

It's a sock color....ignoring the ever famous "when I became an adult I left behind childish things, including the fear of being childish" quote but no, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ color. Socks are an undergarmet, people should be looking at my face and torso not staring at my socks. Even in professional settings black socks are used to match the color of slacks and the common suit because in those areas you are -required- for various sometimes stupid reasons to have a monochromatic style.
