And the representatives of the republic chose the democratic nominee. There is nothing in the constitution that says that states must have primaries before choosing a presidential nominee.

It has clauses about what to do if someone engages in insurrection lol but that gets ignored by the people voting for the oligarchy.

Heck, the founders didn't all like the idea of parties. The whole idea of primaries is pretty recent.

As an example Eisenhower LOST the public primaries before becoming president. Because they were only in a few states at all and not actually binding.
