I Suggest Giving Your Kid A Math Book And Pay Them For Right Answers
I was thinking maybe 1 cent per answer with a calculator and a nickel per answer without a calculator.

Most math books have the answers in the back, you should cut the answers out with scissors and keep it for yourself to review which answers your kid got right.

The order in which you're suppose to learn math is:

Pre-Algebra
Algebra 1
Geometry
Algebra 2
Trigonometry
Calculus

I think if my parents did this for me i would be a math wiz.

Below are workbooks for every math level:

Pre-Algebra

Algebra 1

just let them see the answers and demand a proof instead.

the textbook explains how to solve problems, the answers show the answers, but without the proof there's no clear implication of the principles.

even better you're teaching them to read what a textbook says well enough to get what they want out of it. an even more difficult task, and more rewarding in the long run.

Me: May I have an allowance?
Dad: Yes. I allow you to live in this house and eat my food.

If your parents put that money into a brokerage account, you'd be rich by the time you turn 20.

Would you rather be a math wiz or a multimillionaire?

I asked grandma about the coal afterwards, what she would've done if I didn't give it back. she said she only gave it to me because she knew I would, otherwise she would've kept it to do the same thing.

math wiz is more useful for doing your own accounting.

you could even make yourself a multibillionaire on paper if you wanted. as long as nobody tried to spend any of it anyway.

Wrong, most math books dont have the answer on the back, its just teacher editions who do have it

Usually they just put the answer but not how to reach the solution which is what teacher editions are for

I think every "Workbook" has the answers on the back...

Like this pre-algebra workbook below, on the discreption it says "answers"

Well yeah, Learning doesn't have to be just at some sort of school.

I hate algebra

You first need to take away their network access, freedom of taking the book out of the house, showing it to someone else, talking to someone on the phone. Because you know, manipulation, cheating, and corruption. Teach some legality and politics while at it will you.

How much would you pay your kid per right answer?

I knew a student who's parent did this but the guy was at the lower end of the class in terms of grades. It didn't really help him and he needed tutoring instead.

Teachers sat him next to me since I had high grades and he just annoyed and distracted me all year.

I suggest teaching your kid how to trade on the stock market. Sure as ♥♥♥♥ is more helpful than math. Pointless waste of time to get 8s and 9s. Should have slacked off to just pass with a 5 and played more World of Warcraft. Math didn't help me one bit in life. Probably never will.

Ye, that's one of my childhood regrets. Didn't play enough World of Warcraft. Did too much math.

That’s how kids get good at google searching and consulting chat bots

There is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" answer -- this, like every other "parenting method" out there, can (easily) backfire depending of your kids mental conditions, behavior, etc.
