Their best hope is that Trump gives Russia a favorable trade deal in exchange for peace, and gives China a decent one, too. China's military is in no position to challenge anything, either. When your top-of-the-line stealth fighter is riveted together, and your most modern battle tank can't seem to figure out where to put its "extremely advanced" ADS systems consistently, whilst being a Russian copy, you are boned.
