you're blocked but it's none of my business
xi is a leader
Not a paper tiger, but a tiger with a paper empire. You don't get into Xi's position without being clever and ruthless, but China's ACTUAL capability pales in comparison to what it proclaims.

For one thing, China no longer has a billion people, much less the 1.4 it asserts. There's no way it has that with the negative birth rates it reported for decades as a point of pride, to say nothing of the shrinking imports of resources they don't have, like water, food, and oil. They clearly aren't making better use of these resources, because their output isn't rising in proportion to even a neutral population or technological advance.

Their economy is built on a house of cards, reliant almost entirely upon US monospony power, not just because China holds so much US debt, but because it has no wealthier customers for its markets. Sure, they could sell to others, but others won't pay as much, and China needs money NOW, because its multi-national "Roads and Bridges" initiative has not paid off. Turns out, the the third-world countries they invested in didn't pay dividends, since those ALSO prefer to trade in USD, and they never advanced much. Turns out, government doesn't grow nations, yet again.

Their main economic partner besides the US, for now, is Russia, and Russia is toast. Their best hope is that Trump gives Russia a favorable trade deal in exchange for peace, and gives China a decent one, too. Whatever deals those are, they will favor the US, even if they are neutral, because the US has near-total economic hegemony.

China's military is in no position to challenge anything, either. When your top-of-the-line stealth fighter is riveted together, and your most modern battle tank can't seem to figure out where to put its "extremely advanced" ADS systems consistently, whilst being a Russian copy, you are boned.

Of course, the big threat everyone is talking about is "hypersonic missiles". They're SO fast! Sure they are, and what guides them? It's not China's GPS, because they don't have it. It's just radar, and radar is retarded, as are any terminal-guidance systems like infrared or laser, because they can all be jammed by towed decoys and dazzlers, and none of their detection/evasion systems are faster than US computers. We had their tech ages ago, and just never bothered with it, because we didn't need it.

As it is, China only recently released its first carrier with a catapult system. Do you have any idea how pathetic that is? It's almost as pathetic as their missile cruiser with only two missile systems, neither of which were eve demonstrated to work.

These guys are SO far behind, and it's not hard to see why. Despite adopting a limited capitalist model for certain areas of the country, like Glasnost in the USSR, everything is still controlled by government interests that are either incompetent or corrupt by nature of their own power and the pursuit of keeping it. They're not like the US, where everyone and their dog has fifty ideas for every technology imaginable, and a truly competitive market, or at least a somewhat competitive one, fed by the insatiable demands of freedom. They don't have the refining process to filter out bad ideas, because the CCP politically picks winners and losers, like some idiots over here do. Remember Solyndra? That's Chinese defense tech, except they picked Russia.

As such, I don't think much of Xi beyond my admiration for his capability to cleverly screw his entire nation. Ask me what I think of Castro next.
Strict downgrade over Hu Jintao.

it is only in 21 century china birth rate fall below 2 by woman

it was only true before 2016, but since trump china invest more in domestic economy than rely on foreign exportation and foreign importation, only thing they are stuck is natural resource
