Disney removes trans character from new Pixar series

Disney pulled a transgender storyline from “Win or Lose,” an eight-episode Pixar streaming series that debuts in February, the company said Tuesday.

“When it comes to animated content for a younger audience,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement, “we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline.”

The character will remain in the show, but references to the character’s gender identity have been removed, the company said. The alteration involves “just a few lines of dialogue” near the end of the season.

The Blue Sky crowd is outraged, but seems like Disney is sick of the controversy and doesn't think appeasing the gender politics crowd is a good financial move. If they're taking actions like this, I expect to see other major entertainment studios follow suit.

Imagine taking 10 years of ruining your company's reputation and turning the majority of customers off your product, despite critics and experts screaming at you that you're going trh wrong way, before you actually realize that you're wrong and then switch directions.

Oh wait, the experts and the critics are just "incels" and "misogynists" and "racists" and "alt-right Nazis" and all the buzzwords, and they must be ignored because they represent a very vocal minority.

Boy, Bob Iger sure wishes he listened to those "alt-right Nazis" years ago, so he wouldn't have lost billions of dollars and trashed his company's reputation. Maybe he could have even followed his dream and run for president once he left a SUCCESSFUL Disney, not a Disney mired in financial losses and having parents avoiding the company because it pushed controversial identity politics and LGBT propaganda that doesn't sit well with the majority of customers.

Welp his presidential candidacy is not gonna happen now. Not when he ran Disney into the ground. No one will elect a man to run a country after he couldn't even run a company.

It's just validation that Disney only cared about LGBTQ causes because they thought it was good business. We all knew they we full of it when they'd edit movies for foreign releases and take out gay characters or remove black characters from the movie poster. And now that they don't think it's profitable to wave the rainbow flag in the US, they do an about face. All the cynicism was warranted.
