Autonomous drones and the future of gaming.
So as we all know, the gaming market is oversaturated. You have hundreds of genres and possibly thousands of games in each.

Just in 2023, it's said that over fourteen thousand new games have been published on Steam, and each year more and more games are released on the platform. We have Portable Consoles, Personal Computers, Nintendo Switches, Virtual Reality etc. and all the games on these platforms.

So what is the next step? I believe it can split into two paths: Digital, where more focus is put on the hardware and the software to create more and more elaborate digital worlds. Think something like real-time simulation of an environment. I've discussed this in my other topic I've made a year ago. The other part, which I believe may become more viable, is real-life integration.

So where do Autonomous drones come in? It makes the activity a lot easier, as it allows a third party to join the game, not replacing humans, but rather complementing them. One of possible applications for such machines could be paintball, for example.

Inb4 "paintball is a sport, not a game." I don't care. You know what I mean.

What is your opinion on this?
