There are SOOO many overrated games, that it makes it unbelievable with the amount of praise they get. NOTE: Just because a game is overrated, IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S A BAD GAME.

5. Assassin's Creed
Many people go CRAZY over these games, saying how amazing it is, and while I do agree they are good, they aren't the best thing ever. I'm talking about the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th one, which like I said earlier, are good, but I think they are WAYY to overrated.

4. Half-Life
I can hear EVERYBODY going crazy and wanting to kill me for saying this, but I feel like Half-Life is WAYYYYY too overrated. The graphics, even for 1998, weren't the best and there was much better graphics, as well as colors, on other games. Now, I'm only putting this at number 4 because I haven't played it yet, but I have played the remake. If you want to play Half-Life, just get the Black Mesa remake.

3. Left 4 Dead 2
I have played it for a little bit. The game is fun, but SOOOOO many people say that it's one of Valve's best game EVER. I don't see how it gets 10/10 when in reality it's just an average game. THE GAMES SNIPER RIFLE FIRES LIKE A FREAKING SHOTGUN! However, I do like it, but there are SOOO many better zombie games out there

2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Ohhh Counter-Strike, how much I LOVE you. CS: GO is a great game, but I feel like it's way too overrated. The game is great, but I feel like when playing that it's an incomplete game. There are many glitches and bugs I have came across that it feels like I'm playing an Early Access game. If this game had sold for $9.99, then maybe I could accept the glitches, but making it $5 more just isn't right. I do like the game though, but if Valve were to fix more of the glitches, I'd be a lot happier.

1. Call of Duty
Easily one of the most overrated games of all time. Each installment just keeps getting worse and worse, but everybody still buys it. Nobody cares about the story, but instead the Zombies mode and multiplayer. If it sold for maybe $29.99, then I would understand, but not for $59.99.

Like I said, it's just my opinion and I don't think any of these games are horrible, but they are OVERRATED.

Probably not, too much of a build up at this point and I don't know if they can satisfy people at this point.

We need to always remember, however, that overrated games aren't always bad, just given too much praise. Minecraft is fun, but many people think it is the games to end all others. I presonally think Terraria is better, due to higher explorability, more end game equipment, and hard mode.

I agree with some of your points. Though I'd throw Minecraft and LoL in. Part of me says "FNaF", but the games itself feel good, and it's some of the fanbase that's insane. :D #crazyopinion
And Battlefield. I love some of the installments, but it's not as good as people tend to think.
There are certainly more, but I haven't tried them myself. So I fear to judge things I know nothing about other than the constantly mentioned title and the fapping fanbase. :P

5. Grand Theft Auto V Online
I like it but it's not as addicting compared to other GTAs and people praise like it's the holy grail. I even have IRL friends that do nothing but play GTA V Online religiously on PS3. It is a well crafted game I can not deny that but i'm not really into this game compared to other people out there.

4. Mortal Kombat X
I thinks its not bad but the DLC practises really suck. Seriously why is Goro a paid / pre-order DLC even though he is on the disk for the console versions!? Also performing combos is a bit difficult for newbies that want to get in the game.

3. Every FIFA game since FIFA 12
Meh. Ultimate Team and Microtransactions and EA. Nuff Said.

2. Counter-Strike Global Offensive
People take this game WAY too seriously. ESPECIALLY with skins. SKINS! The fact that people will willingly spend a ridiculous amounts of money on COSMETIC CHANGES really confuses me. The game should of be called Skin Simulater 2015 instead lol. CS:GO is actually a good game though but I'm terribad at CS as I usually play COD

1. HyperDimension Neptunia / Any game that features large unnessecery amounts of fan service
I can't stand these types of games especially HyperDimension Neptunia. The graphics on most of these game suck, the gameplay is uninterresting mostly and nearly all of these games that fall in this catergory are either boring visual novels or crappy RPGs. These types of games get worshipped at litrelly nearly every anime / weaboo forum in existence just because they have tits all over these games and that's just sad in my own opinion.

GTA really should be at the top of these lists. The entire series. Especially GTA 5.

I have a friend who blew over $600 for CS:GO skins.

GTA really should be at the top of these lists. The entire series. Especially GTA 5.

GTA V is overrated but the whole series? Not really. I think GTA III - GTA SA deserved every amount of praise they resieved. GTA 1 and 2 are actually quite unique as they aren't sandbox games but rather played with a overhead view. The only GTA game that was meh was GTA IV. I just wasn't gripped on the story and the gameplay but to be honest, I haven't played GTA IV in a very long time.
