Hello sir or ma'am.
Would you be offended if you went into a store and the staff said "Hello sir or ma'am" instead of just calling you sir or ma'am?

I'd figure the guy (or girl) is half blind and can't make the difference, with all the "inclusion" they hire now days it wouldn't surprise me.

Depends on what place. In the land of insanity anything goes, why be bothered. In ohre places which still keep some degree of normal it would be revealing the rot, yes.
