EA puts a hold on SP games and will focus on hybrid life service

As the title suggest.

EA have decided that players dislike Single Player games, even more so RPG´s.
After their "by their words" huge successful and highly praised game Dragon Age: The Veilguard (that was loved by all, if you ask EA´s board) have concluded that players just dislike single player and even more so RPGs..... instead players want to engage with eachother and have more live service.

EA is not fully focused on making more hybrid live service games, as that is what the players want.


EA thinks players liked Dragon Age: The Veilguard !!!!!!!!!!!
EA thinks that it did not sell well, because it did not have live service elements !!!!!

I think Veilguard failed because it had awful gameplay, watered down RPG elements, bad interactions and a no real agency.
It was all in all a barebone action adventure..

I still struggle to understand whom Veilguard was made for.. certainly not DA fans..
But I look forward to Live Serviced Mass Effect 4..... someday... EA might learn.. but then again... 90% of their income is from gambling in Fifa (EA sports) so most likely they never learn.

No regrets.

I missed the infestation of Dead Space with microtransactions.
I missed the three-color ending of Mass Effect.
And now I've missed the turning of the dark fantasy Dragon Age into a dating sim.

They bungled Battlefield, abandoned Medal of Honor, mutilated Mass Effect (Andromeda), wasted Titanfall, and snuffed out The Saboteur and Mercenaries.

I gotta ask, does it really shock anyone that they mismanaged Dragon Age?

Sadly that is not going to happen anytime soon.
The only thing that could burn them is a ban to "gambling" in games or if they get forced to discluse using DDA in their sports game.

The last time i was even tempted, was with that prison break co-op game. EA makes hardly anything of value.

i dont care anymore about EA, they offer nothing interest me, all their rpg are crap, sims 5 going to suck, all their good franchise are cancelled

lol battlefield is just trash same with lol fifa and their other sport game and nhl never going to be release on pc

apex legend is not better than fortnite or pugb

actually they lost the rights to use the FIFA name. Now its EA Sports FC.

The reason so many older racing games didn't have Porsche but featured cars like the RUF Yellowbird instead is because EA had an exclusive license to Porsche. After NFS: Porsche flopped, they lost that license too.

More recently, they lost their Star Wars exclusive license as well.
