Maybe but a lot can happen between now and then ...
Canada has a functioning healthcare system and no school shootings, plus a myriad of other benefits that Americans could only ever dream to have.
I call BS on this, big time
yeah, no canadian would willingly allow themselves to move to a country that is inferior in almost every way.
there might be some delusional young canadians, but the majority of canadians would move to 100 different countries before the us.
It's also pretty obvious the OP is just a troll anyway. Look at how completely and obviously unhinged the responses are.
"US #1"
"Trump 3rd term"
Not to be taken seriously.
Ngl, the 2nd part can happen. The Congress can request revoking constitutional amendment that disallowed 3rd term. Considering the majority of both chambers of Congress, Republicans would have no problems passing the measure.
The 1st part is obvious that military wise, US is stronger than most countries in total war. The last time the nation was at total war was in WW2. We are very capable of repealing any attack on mainland US. Also, not to mention, US is in nuclear club therefore mainland US will always be secure.
Perhaps you cannot be taken seriously...
The 2nd part can't really happen, because there are 4 ways to make an amendment to the constitution, none of which are likely:
1. Proposed by two-thirds of both houses of Congress, then ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the states.
2. Proposed by two-thirds of both houses of Congress, then ratified by specially called ratifying conventions in at least three-fourths of the states.
3. Proposed at a constitutional convention called by at least two-thirds of the states, then ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the states.
4. Proposed at a constitutional convention called by at least two-thirds of the states, then ratified by specially called ratifying conventions in at least three-fourths of the states.
As far as the US being number 1 goes, sure, they're the military superpower. But I'd hardly call them #1, because they rank so low in a lot of metrics that really matter. I'd highly suggest you look up where the US stands in comparison to the rest of the world.
Yeah, and all 4 are Republican majority. If it put in a floor vote, I am confident that it would pass. That's the difference between now and Trump's 1st term. We were dealing with divided government as in 2016 to 2020.
#1in scientific breakthroughs
#1 military
#1 in space and rocketry
Still #1 in AI (deepseek will be exposed)
I can go on and on
