Anyone else using Bandicam and find it irritating

Anyone else using bandicam to record gameplay? Most games im playing Bandicam gets right in the way. You cant move it from the top of the screen to the bottom so of course when im adventuring through an area its fine, as soon as i get to a boss battle, i need to move the cursor to the top what happens....BANDICAM gets in the way and thinks i clicked on it when I didnt, and of course the game minimises back to desktop, and causes the game to crash.

Alice in madness is a prime example Bandicam is fine in the journey through and the cutscenes but as soon as I move the cursor to the top BANDICAM shows up and causes the game to minimise and crash. 5 times its done this. I have tried minimising BANDICAM to the system tray (its an option) no that doesnt wk still gets in the way. I tried an option where you can shade out Banidcam to make it lighter doesnt work.

I have tried other game recorders which are rubbish by the way. I tried XBOX Game bar one day, it said it was recoridng my gameplay, when i checked it hadnt recorded it at all, I have tried STEAM RECORDER....thats rubbish and always broken in some way and puts the recorded clips in the wrong order....

what do others use? I tried another one MOVAVI by GECATA....you get 10 minutes max record time (Trial) and it leaves a watermark on your videos...

OH OBS,...I remember using that terrible one. The quality of the output was abysmal. It was awful output, and was complicated for a recorder.I uninstalled it and never used again

you 100% used the wrong settings then as obs can give you the best quality

I haven't used Bandicam or FRAPS since I had my psychotic episode in college. I also haven't played Halo since then. If I record anything it's with OBS Studio and even then it usually winds up in the bin and not uploaded anywhere.

At least if it's video and audio, I still occasionally make something with Audacity. But most of that music is unreleased and likely won't be uploaded anywhere anytime soon.

I used OBS and the recording quality was terrible all pixelated when i used it last year, so uninstalled, trash. I tried XBOX game recorder, which claimed it was recording one of my gameplays upon stopping the recording, went to windows to that folder, empty folder....
tried bandicam, its good in some games, but other games or most games it interferes and you cant minimise to system tray as it still interferes and pauses and crashes the game.
I tried steam recorder and thats always broken

I just sampled Hypercam 2, you have no way of telling if its recording, there is no start or stop sound and you cant select one in the program....more rubbish.

What that tells me is you need to change the encoding settings in OBS Studio as with the right settings and the right hardware it actually isn't at all like that. Course, any time you're recording content on a computer and you're not utilizing two hard drives is a time where you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Course, your setup is not mine and thus your mileage may vary. And this is, of course, factoring in that I stopped bothering with YouTube in 2019. I spent 5 years prior to that operating a Z-tier Let's Play channel.

My crowning achievement being reaching the top 1% of channels that had more than 100 subscribers. I had somewhere between 230 and 330 by the time I decided I valued my mental health and having a roof over my head more than making gaming content that, at best, got 5 views per video on a good day.

Said channel and it's 2,000+ videos no longer exists and that's a good thing.

Agree with you on the youtube. I do a youtube channel and 848 subscribers, youtube dont push out content there days unelss you pay for subc or views. I have gameplay on my channel and yet only get around 10-20 views, so where are the rest of the 830 so subs? spam or something?

I might look at OBS again, as BANDICAM as getting on my nerves, the other week i was recording Cloudpunk City of Ghosts, right during the story line no apparent reason, Bandicam took me back to the desktop, so i recorded my desktop ....keeps doing that....and sometimes the bandicam window will pop up in games at the top....I tried making it darker so it dont show it still does it and minmises games and annoys me...I tried minimzie to system tray....nope, I cant move it t o the bottom either, has to be the top....I can choose "Stay on Top" but that means during recording gameplays you will see BANDICAM on top in the output on top of the screen

Personally, I don't care much... I don't make many videos... only when I feel like it.

If you have a Radeon card just use the recorder in Adrenaline. It has zero impact on your gameplay and can capture multichannel audio (if the game has any and your soundcard decodes it).

I just recorded about 10 hours of Legendary (the game with the Pandora's box monsters) gameplay in 1080p last week. Even when I fell through the elevator floor. Yes it can record 4k if you have a 4k monitor (I do not) or 4k TV.
