Sounds like the liberal medical-industrial complex trying to "get back at Trump" by purposefully killing people.

They never did forgive him for forcing insulin down to $35 a month.

That's actually false.

The cap came from the Inflation Reduction Act.

What Trump did was "allow Medicare Part D prescription drug plans could volunteer to cover “at least one of each dosage form of a type of insulin product” at no more than $35 a month". Meaning there was no actual requirement to cap it at $35 a month.

The Inflation Reduction Act made "all Medicare Part D prescription plans are barred from charging more than $35 a month out-of-pocket for all covered insulin products.

Provisions under the IRA also limit cost sharing to $35 a month for insulin products covered by Medicare Plan B and bar deductibles from being applied to insulins under both Part D and Part B plans."

Trump's program was temporary and ended in 2023. Biden's is permanent until repealed.

Oh, and the Representative who introduced the IRA was a Democrat.

Fun fact: inhaled corticosteroids are on the WHO's list of essential medicines. These are used to treat asthma.

Insulin is on the list too, by the way and yet insulin costs stupid amounts of money in the USA and yes people have died here because they can't afford it.

This list of essential medications is compiled by the WHO because all hospitals and pharmacies in a modern day country should have them, and they should be cheap and commonly available.

The USA recently withdrew from the WHO and I suspect it is because our big pharma companies don't want these medications to be cheap and commonly available. They would rather charge $1000 a dose for medicines that cost pennies everywhere else on Earth.
You know when I first started working eons ago the people on Medicare got everything 100%.

No co pay
no parts
included dental eyes and scrips everything.

Over the years we pay more and get less. You didn't notice a change since it only applied to new people. As the rules changed the new people got shafted.

Now they milk you for every little thing. And if you max out your benefit you are just out of range of any assistance due to "making too much".

I stopped going to drs just due to not being able to afford it, can't trust them as they just get told what to say from the insurance companies anyway. If they give me scrips for meds I can't afford to get them anyway. Why waste the money on an exam?

I'll die when I die.. at least I am able to make that choice. In the new world order I think many people will have to accept this reality if they like it or not.

Not defending it, but this medication doesn't really cost $500. There were many ways for this young person to get the medication at a lower cost. As his parents said, he just didn't ask.

To me, there are multiple problems here.

A) and most importantly, there shouldn't even be a "Process". It should just be less.
B) We've failed our young people and they're all too sensitive about communication and how to speak like an adult. I've witness so many people that won't speak up for themselves or when they do speak up for themselves, it's in a childish manner.
He was literally told by the pharmacist there wasn't an alternative.

That's the issue.
Did you watch the video? His parents say he could have asked more questions or gone somewhere else.
$500 for an inhaler?! Oh my god America fix this, they cost $8.99 here!

Cool.

He was still told by the pharmacist there wasn't an alternative. That's the issue.
