Van Halen - for those that like their music
David Lee Roth?

Or

Sammie Hagar?

I'm definitely a David Lee Roth fan. I prefer all the songs from that period over any song from the Hagar period.

both are good

Unchained is gud and so is seventh seal.
Go ahead. Jump.

Ahhh good Ole times
Hagar was king of the ballads.

DLR for the win.

Panama, Unchained, Running with the Devil, Eruption, Ain't Talking Bout Love were epic.
David Lee Roth for me.

For the last time, it's called Van Halen! Not Van Hagar!
Easy, Diamond Dave all the way.

The DLR era is never gonna lose this argument.

Van Hagar overall has aged pretty well though, and while it's not even close to their best song, "Humans Being" was the last time the band had their ♥♥♥♥ together.
The best Van Halen album was the first Van Halen album. There were a few other songs over the early DLR years, but nothing compared to the first. I still have my original vinyl of it.

I think they complemented each other at that time. DLR had a great, easily recognisable voice and SH was a fantastic guitarist.

I heard a song by SH many years ago, for me, it's always been my favourite, enjoy :D:

Right on. That was a great soundtrack to the movie Twister (1996)
I've been listening to Van Halen for years and I still don't know any of the band members' names. I kinda know what they look like, but that's only from one or two music videos.
Roth.

But Hagar is fine. I just like his solo stuff (after Montrose but before Van Halen) better.

Hagar had a better voice, technically, but the Dave years were better musically, IMO.

Bottom of the barrel was right around when they did "RIght Now".

That's not music, that's corporate slop.
