Reminds me of that part in a warren zevon song,

Now it seems to me you're acting strange, You treat me like a criminal

You keep telling me i have to change, Baby that'll take a miracle.

That's true if we talk about adults. We are projection of our thoughts.

Agreed with you OP, people aren't objects so they can't be "fixed" so it's an illogical phrase & idea. At most they can be healed, though their own sheer free will + if person thinks it's necessary, the help of a mental health medical professional.

If we are talking about close relatives - husband, wife, fiancée, ...
then don't even start.
You will quarrel with everyone and change nothing.
People change very rarely.
If you have to choose to say yes or no to your girlfriend or boyfriend, clearly say no.
There are several billion people on Earth, somewhere your other half is walking.
I remembered one good phrase: the only time you can change your so is a candy-bouquet period.

No one who says that phrase actually means it. It’s meant as a joke.
its similar with people believe in fate and destiny
I do believe that, though only if they want to change and need help

That's not a real man. That's a wimpy submissive twink. You just want a sex slave to lick your stilettos. Be honest.

That’s simply not true. While u may not be able to fix them urself, u can be the driving force that inspires them to change. u can be the reason they find value in their own growth and survival.

Moreover, people crave public validation to such an extent that when u build a group, ur influence over individuals increases significantly. This allows u to shape their perspectives and emotions in ways they may not even realize. The ever-present herd mentality is always at play.

Its like those people who says "i can change" but don't.
If a woman you are dating asks you to fix or heal or help her recover from whatever, you can expect not to have a lasting relationship and you can also expect to be harmed by the interaction.

use the skip button. it helps against npc interactions like that

Individuals should get help and people should work together, but it's imperative that one person doesn't drag another down. Don't abandon them, but help in moderation and step-wise. Sacrificing yourself will result in two people drowning.
