i think i am preferring albums overall as someone that is enjoying horror media. usually, such media is being released in album format, not single format.

adore the sh3 ost as well. sh 1-4 are being some of my favourite games (and media in general) of all times, so i love to hear anything from the original team silent series

The topic is pretty much irrelevant since nobody really 'buys" albums anymore. They just license them on a music streaming service. To me, there is no difference between an album or a single, it's just a pile of songs from an artist I like either way. And since the late 90's I went all-digital with my music and lost all concept of what an album even is anymore.

Bands I've known and followed for 30 years, you could play me a song of there's and there's only about a 50/50 chance I'll know which album it's from. A good chance I won't even know the name of that album.
