OT, I do not know! Maybe I'll find out what I'm willing to endure. That game really isn't all that great to play but it will be interesting to try.
I remember calling nintendo power. My parents blocked 1-900 calls after getting a 300 dollar phone bill at $1.50 per minute. In my defense i thought it was free. I was 10 at the time.
Sega Does, brother. Sega does.
mood af
damn dude, nice work.
i was usually flattened by area 3.
the wierd moth levels with giant jumpy frog things would usually frag me
most i can do is beat contra on the nes with no continues
It took me a while to beat but i eventually did . As if i didn't my parents wouldn't buy me another game.
I think you are mistaken. The 1-800 number was for help with the console. They had a 1-900 number to get help in games and it was cheaper then nintendo by 45 cents.

I could try....been playing the arcade version.
mike matei (again of angry video game nerd from my earlier comment) has talked about this before. game devs at the time were having many "partnerships" of sorts with the video rental stores. they purposefully made games unfair, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and insanely hard despite reason for the purposes of multiple rentals from these video stores.
obviously not all game devs did this, but i absolutely believe some did.
