Bro i think i did beat it, might of had help with nintendo power, what was impossible to beat was Battle Toads , something like its 3rd level was simply impossible , Ninja Turtles where you have the lil map and energy Im sure i beat it or got super close to the end, Looking back though those games had such bad graphics. I remember playing ninja turtles aracde game and i was so excited to get it for the nes. But then devistatedly disapointed cause it was just trashy compared to the arcade version.

I remember calling nintendo power. My parents blocked 1-900 calls after getting a 300 dollar phone bill at $1.50 per minute. In my defense i thought it was free. I was 10 at the time.

I think you are mistaken. The 1-800 number was for help with the console. They had a 1-900 number to get help in games and it was cheaper then nintendo by 45 cents.

mike matei (again of angry video game nerd from my earlier comment) has talked about this before. game devs at the time were having many "partnerships" of sorts with the video rental stores. they purposefully made games unfair, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and insanely hard despite reason for the purposes of multiple rentals from these video stores.

obviously not all game devs did this, but i absolutely believe some did.

The game that is the subject of this thread, has no save feature. So, multiple rentals would be pointless and yes I remember the game. ! was 17 in 1989.
