Say you want to download a 26TB file and you have the fastest public internet in the world how long would it take to download that. 1 hour 2 hours a week a month? How long.

No way to download 26 terabytes of data with public internet in less then a second. I'm not talking about military internet i'm meaning public internet which i believe is around 30gb per second with fiber.

with my experience with my 100mb line and few people using the line as well. I had at that time 2x 1 terrabyte drives. i downloaded between 1 and 1.5 terabytes, took me roughly about month and half to 2 months with some internet issues as well. so if you using best line for 26 terabytes, maybe couple hours to maybe a week or two

The download will be throttled by your SSD even if it had the capacity.

if you had a 30gigabit per second conection, you would require 2hr 40 mins for dl a 26tb file.

i think the fastest i can get residential is 10gbps but paying incredibly for it, and they probably have to pull fiber to my house.

i think the fastest connection achieved was 22.9 petabits/sec, so it would transfer incredibly fast, but ... that assumes the computer on the other end could receive it - prob limited by write speed =z
