really hope both dino crisis 1 and 2 and the classic re pc versions that are being released on GOG will come to steam eventually.
oh no, really? well, thats alright i guess. GOG is the only other storefront besides steam i am using. and for retro games specifically i am finding that GOG is almost always way, way superior anyway. way less bugs and such
yeeeeeeees, parasite eve 1 and 2, re code veronica, and silent hill 1-3. if all of those were receiving GOG releases, id die of happiness!
i think silent hill 1-3 are on the dreamlist if i am not being mistaken, unsure about parasite eve 1 and 2 though. re code veronica is unfortunately definitely not, as it has never received a pc release.
In the video RE: Code Veronica X is one of the first games you see there and I know for a fact Parasite Eve 1 is there, if PE2 is not there you can always add it. People have added Mario and Zelda games on there and we all know Nintendo won't let those go on PC
I think I'd rather run Dino Crisis in a low res mode. the high resolution models look pretty funky on that low res background art.
ahhh, i see i see. well, i would be ecstatic if code veronica were ever to receive a pc release of any kind. it is being to this day the only mainline re game that has not received a pc port. i am thinking capcom will likely do so themselves whenever they are getting around to making the remake of it, but id absolutely just take the original on GOG too.
Hopefully devs can see if it sells well to perhaps push a revive for a new game.
yes i think so too, a remake before a port. but i am hoping that when the code veronica remake is releasing, they will perhaps re-release the hd version remaster of it that came out a decade or so ago on modern consoles (and hopefully pc as well) as a companion piece to the remake. might as well, its free money for them after all.
and even if the game is released in a buggy state (probably will be sadly), online communities are being so awesome at fixing devs bugs these days that itll probably be nice and fixed in no time.
capcom actually recently acknowledged dino crisis in a survey or something around the time re village released (or maybe it was re4 remake). it was mostly being "corpo talk", they basically just said that these classic properties like dino crisis are meaning a lot to them as a company, and they are aware of the fans love for them. obviously this is all very vague corpo talk, but still nice to see such series even acknowledged at all.
