I have just read that they are in the crapper and may be going bust in 2025. I didn't understand the content of the email.
I might have I can't remember and I have no idea how to find out.
In January 2025, Ubisoft closed the Ubisoft Leamington studio and downsized several other studios, resulting in up to 185 staff being laid off as part of ongoing cost-cutting measures.
It then sends me a verification code in which I paste into the box.
Now i have a spinning widget thingy that just keeps spinning... :-/
Just to add: I found an Ubisoft icon in my taskbar and I opened it and there was a new logged-in icon. I closed the box with spinning thingy.
I have 2 far Cry games and Watchdogs 1&2 which I'd like to keep but wouldn't matter I had to lose.
In fact this attitude makes me want to just dump the whole launcher and what works works. F'em.
Funny thing is, after the initial outrage I just accepted it and haven't logged in for like two years. All those games were free and they were all mediocre anyway.
Despite all the talk about woke that, and DEI this, the account erasure debacle was the moment I realized Ubisoft was rotten to the core and needed to be destroyed. For whatever reason, it took a couple of years for the general public to catch on.
But I no longer care I have enough to concern with my personal self.
Ubi launcher uninstalled and if my steam-ubi games stop working then who cares.
