I hear the plan is to eventually -- and soon -- replace the entire federal income tax with tariffs for the government's income source. No more income tax.

So you'll have 30% more money to spend.

Also now, China has proven that they're in the competition.

DeepSeek AI boom took $600 billion from NVIDIA market value in a day. A major hit for Western technology sector.

It isn't helping at all that Trump is going to start pointless trade wars with allies that ensure US is even able to compete with China. Oh well, he won't be alive when the effects of his disastrous policies truly occur.

Who is going to invest in Trump's America? If the insanity continues, the investors will look at China. It makes no difference at that point.

Computer manufacturers will not produce in a country where they pay 100% extra for chips. When in neighboring country they can avoid it. So, these tariffs are about as effective driving production away from the country.

Intel essentially making their own GPUs really cheap compared to the competitors is likely going to drive a competitive price war anyway, in favor of intel which may drive nvidia/amd prices down at least for GPUs.

You'd be surprised how little GPUs actually cost to make.

It certainly doesn't help that China is teaching their kids math and quantum physics, philosophy and literature, while we focus on teaching our kids pronouns and how to be an influencer, an OF star, or play basketball.

It was a bad idea to go down that road, and I hope we can get on the other road some day.

That won't work at all.

You should stop listening to grifters if that's what you honestly think.

We would have to repeala bill that Clinton pushed for, for, and signed in 2000 which opened free trade with China, where slave labor was allowed to undercut domestic prices, resulting in the problem you see today.
