But the AI-ruined version of E.T. was still hilarious.
Is it? or is it not.
People seem divided.
Will you ever know??
Well obviously... The reason is that AI does not have free will or creativity like a human... it will always be a slave of human input and inspiration... But you can be certain, that lots of modern day videogames are made with AI help.
The main issue, is that while it lowers the quality, it also takes away immersion in many cases.
Now, many aspects of it utterly depress me. How it hoovers up human creations and spits out sterile mediocrity. How it steals the most fulfilling work away from people. How it makes lies indistiguishable from the truth, and vice-versa.
I still use it as a tool to handle research and repetitive tasks, but I no longer use AI art. Not just out of solidarity with artists, but because the mere sight of it darkens my day.
the damage ai has done to artists is immeasurable unfortunately. i am thinking that from here on out, artists of any medium will always be routinely receiving accusations of using ai to create or enhance their art. truly dystopic, truly depressing
i hope that artists still strive for creativity and the beauty of their art, despite ais grip on them
Me too. I do think that as more and more people are directly affected by the excesses of AI, some guardrails will have to be set up, if only for economic reasons.
