Since people have varying tastes, yes. With over 8 billion of us now, a lot of things can become popular even being awful.

They also sell sugarless products.
Do these contain sweetners, because that's even worse.
Plain coffee, espressos, latte, cappuccino? No sugar anything, no.
I'm not saying they're good though.
Even Seattle's Best was a Starbucks brand before they sold it to Nestlé in 2022.

Pretty simple: Starbucks realized they could make more selling what are basically milkshakes than by being renowned for "good coffee."
The problem is it is linked mentally to "growing up" and not drinking soda etc.
So people have some social mental need to say they drink coffee to act like they are grown up but actually don't like coffee.
Starbucks was born.
You never had good coffee, eh?
Find a local place that has a roaster in the corner that they use to roast beans on premises. Or use an Aeropress.
