Scared of Driving???
Here are my personal tips of survival when you drive a vehicle on the road especially the busy highways

1) I get very paranoid when I drive by the big cargo trucks because in the past, they have merged into my lane and almost hit me without realizing

TIP: Before you are about to pull up side to side with big trucks, make sure you quickly flash your headlights once or twice during day or night for Sanity Check with Truck Driver

TIP: In case that doesn't work, always check the empty lane beside you just in case you need to swerve away from big trucks if things go wrong big time

Big trucks have big blind spots.
If you drive near the cabin on the right side of the truck, driver might not see you even after looking in the mirror.

Actually with the truck thing, I heard if you can't see the driver in their mirrors they can't see you, So try to stay sight of their mirrors.

You should respect semi trucks. They have blind spots and aren’t able to see certain areas.

Word of advice. If you see a truck with his right blinker on and he’s moving to the left lane; he’s making a wide right turn so you better stay clear.

everyone already said it before me, but yep. dont ever mess around with 18 wheelers, you will not win. give them a wide berth, respect their blind spots.

but i dont drive anyway, my feet and bicycle do okay most of the time. or a bus if i have somewhere far off to be.

Years ago I was in the back of an open pickup with a few of my other college mates. The guy who was driving us to school was swerving all over the road. Acting horribly. A car came out of nowhere, clipped a truck next to us, the truck went on its side and slid down the freeway. If that car would had hit us, I wouldn't be here today.

Moral of the story: Respect the freeway, and the people around you. Never EVER take anything for granted. it only takes a second to ruin your life forever.

Just be aware of your surroundings and know the limits of your skill and your vehicle.
humans have only created more chaos than what the universe has.

I'm not particularly scared of driving, but I do practice defensive driving.

Such as looking through cars ahead of me, several vehicles up the road, to see what may be happening ahead. Frequently checking views in the mirrors. Slowing down in bad weather.

terrifying...glad you are still here, and were not harmed. i have been in 1 serious accident before, but thankfully was just some bruises and cuts, nothing broken and none internal bleeding and such. definitely respect the road, and other drivers.

This is a signal that you are giving a truck room to change lanes.
