Work in Japan
Is it possible to find a job in Japan (1-year work and travel visa) without knowing Japanese?
Has anyone managed it? Does anyone have any experience? Any japanese people in OT? Haha

I did it for 3 months. u can work as english teacher. All u do is to talk eith some kids english a couple of hours per day. housing and food is usually provided with a decent wage.

if u want to work in japan thats the simplest way
these two people have no f...king idea what they're talking about..

some companies, especially English speaking ones will arrange work visa for you and find you a temporary place to live in. If you know no Japanese at all then its still easy to become an English teacher... since you're not doing anything at this job, apart from working from 7am until 4pm or even later, you're treated as a class clown most of the time.... Or you might find a job in English company at some warehouses or restaurants that require almost no Japanese language abilities. And no ITS NOT COUPLE OF HOURS PER DAY. You're LITERALLY working more than 8 hours a day, sometimes longer, even if students have time off, YOU WILL be required a lot of times to come in to work, regardless if you will sit in your school office doing nothing or not.... also a lot of schools have short contracts.... 3 month contracts, 6 month contracts, 12 month contracts. You may also be required to work in multiple schools and travel to them in one town, for example you might have 3 junior highs and 1 kindergarten school in your part of the town which you're required to attend to during week. You will most likely not communicate with any locals at all, like other guy suggested... because sometimes the companies will house you in a complex building near the school, that has other foreigners in it. Which might mean you will not get into contact with Japanese ppl. But again what do i know? I bet these two know more than me since they watched couple of YT videos comparing to me experiencing it. I have a japanese directory with all English friendly businesses and job offers available in all Japan areas, but I don't know if I can link it here

Why are people going to live and work in countries without knowing the language. I don't understand it. Please explain. It's like people don't have any respect for the people that live there.

If I went to work in Syria without knowing Arabic I'd literally get killed. Why is Japan different?

The vast majority of Japanese people don't speak English so you wouldn't even able to communicate let get a job.

Why would you want to work in Japan?

They are a weak nation. They started and lost WWII.

Their culture is awful.

America is #1.

Go Trump Go.

I really wouldn't recommend it without speaking at least rudimentary Japanese.

If you think about going to work Japan, just because you like Anime, don't. Go as a tourist instead first and then see if you could imagine living there for a year.

Hmm I don't think I would be a good teacher.

But that's amazing. I want to know more.
Japan is the most difficult country to get a visa for. They have 128 million population but have only a few thousand immigrants.

And how exactly do you plan on communicating with the locals? Are you going to be shouting in german at your little phone every five seconds?
No. I don't want to communicate at all lol. A little bit English maybe haha

So what is the point of going there? If you want to see the sights, go as a tourist. If you want to work, you can work without talking to anyone back at home. No need to go to Japan for that.
