I think there's a decent and maybe more than decent chance that Tik Tok won't get sold, but that bytedance will sell the US accounts of TikTok to another US based social media company (most likely Twitter/X in my guess), plus that a chunk of the IP and software would get ported by a temporary (~500 days) Tiktok dev team so that it could get integrated into something like X and be on a good trajectory to fork into something different than the real tikTok (which would remain independent, and need to operate outside of the US and some of its satellites.
