What’s the biggest plot twist in a game?

When I saw the topic title I thought about BioShock even before clicking on it. I didn't like the game that much but the twist was cool. Maybe the coolest thing in the entire game.
Spoiler (don't hover/click if you didn't finish the game and want to do it):

"The man chooses.
The slave obeys.
Obey."

Also I liked the plot twist from the horror walking simulator "Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs". (mild spoiler:) About what happened to your character's sons.

i think sand land has some merit not for plot twist but just how it hits you with the second half of the story is such a surprise and well hidden

Sovereign's true nature in Mass Effect.

The original game arguably qualifies as hard sci-fi, with a well-grounded, scientifically accurate universe. It makes it all the more disturbing when the true antagonist is revealed as basically a Great Old One from the Lovecraft Mythos, whom the apparent big bad is absolutely terrified of.

im just naming some twists from games i am personally loving, not really "biggest twists" in gaming or anything like that.


- silent hill 2: james killed mary, though there are many hints before this is revealed

- silent hill 3: heather is harry masons daughter, and incarnation of alessa/cheryl. this is not revealed until the halfway point

- bloodborne: the true nature of the dream, being kept afloat by the moon presence and the eldritch abomination great ones

- dark souls 1: the identity of the furtive pygmy, later strongly implied to be manus, father of the abyss

- sekiro shadows die twice: owl seeks the dragon heritage too, sekiro and all else were simply his tools

- resident evil code veronica: albert wesker was revived after his death in re1

- kotor 2: kreia is really darth traya, one of the titular lords of the sith. also, the exile is the one who has cut themself off from the force

- nier replicant/gestalt: the shades are the true humans. also it is a stealth sequel to drakengard

- forbidden siren 2: ichiko died in the storm, when playing as her you are playing as simulacrum of her, created by main antagonist

- shadow hearts: halley is the son of koudelka, the protagonist of the first game

- deadly premonition: york is actually zacks second personality, though being in a supernatural sense
