Reddit is the worst community on the internet.
People will tell you it's Twitter, but it's always been Reddit, and it will likely hold that title as long as it stays around. Redditors might flock to this thread to try and tell you it isn't, but Reddit being the worst social media platform on the internet isn't a subjective view, it's an objective fact.

I doubt that it's worse than Steam...

As someone who deleted R*ddit in the summer of 2019, I have no regrets about it. For all of these reasons.

reddit is anti free speech.
first they downvote unwanted opinion
then they ban you
and when people dont like a whole board opinion they just switch all mods and start banning people

its ok for technical stuff and hobbies but useless for anything discussworth.

redditors live in a bubble.

If you were to turn back the censorship on reddit about 10 years it's actually kind of a nice threaded and very hiererchical organized BBS. For certain reddit communities/topics which are immune from political ideological polarization, there are some good oasis communities on reddit.

They have been on the wane over the past half decade, as the broader way which reddit has been administered has turned many people away.

It's an aggregator site. You not meant to write anything on reddit. Since you don't have the rights to write anything.

I have a joke for you, A Redditor walks into a bar.

Lol, who am I kidding? we all know Redditors don't socialize.

They socialize at the incel bar.

That's Reddit Simba. You must never go there."

They socialize at the incel bar.

But they don't serve incels there and end up talking to themselves or will spend time talking to company coworkers from companies like Disney who been assigned to control media.

They're all secretly incels.

The reason why social media sucks is because humans suck.

This is the best we have to offer, ladies and gentlemen. Embrace the suck or become a lone wolf.

Absolutely agree with all the replies here, except the ones sympathetic to Reddit. It's true. Redditors are far too 'low IQ' to grasp sophisticated humour. Thank goodness we have Off Topic, where every post is a masterclass in wit and subtlety and echo chambers don't exist (glad 90% of us are in agreement about that btw). :p2cube:
