The people- so really the entire thing.

Almost everyone present merely wants to hear themselves talk, not discuss. Likewise it’s mostly politics, people stirring the pot for amusement, arguments in bad faith, and people being so needlessly cruel to each other. People don’t see each other as people here in this forum- you’re a problem to be solved or proven wrong.

In short, it’s a dumpster fire and it’s the reason I rarely visit- used to be very active years ago. I click once in a blue moon, see everyone stewing the pot and treating each other with malice as per usual, and leave. Seriously- if you’re a half decent person, an intellectual, or are simply a person looking for friendly people- this is not the place for you. There are much better things you could do with your time, and much better people to spend it. Remove yourself from this feedback loop that people, life, and the world is awful.

Honestly Although I do fan the flames of this sometimes, I would have to say the political conversations. I don't mind staying informed and having productive and well-meaning conversations but I'm just fed up with it at this point.

What grinds my gears more than anything else is the fact there seems to be no sense of balance or reason when it comes to steam political conversations.

If you are even slightly critical of Donald Trump, MAGA supporting steam users are going to get all up in your grill.

Think Political-Correctness is absurd? Believe in two sexes? Don't think it's physically or logically possible for men to become pregnant?

Don't be surprised to find yourself banned because some hyper-progressive steam user reports you for following ideas grounded in reality that are not only rooted in science but also theology as well. They likely don't even do this because they care about trends the people they claim to support. They just do it because they want to feel better than other people.

Not even trying to convert anybody here or preach a sermon, I'm just trying to explain why most people adhere to the belief that there are only two sexes.

Basically it's all just nonsense and nothing is actually being accomplished or achieved. Except pointless flame wars and bad faith discussions.

I'm just tired, done and pretty much fed up at this point.
