Switch 2 Announcement?

Rumor has it will be on Thursday.

I just thought it would be kinda fun to GUESS what the msrp and release date will be. :P

I say $399 US and June 14th. IDK.

Why not call it, the Switcheroo? With a cute kangaroo motif and design? The toy plastic pouch holds the tablet.

Switch 2 sounds so f**king uninspired, like the Wii U (ok I love that console, and Miiverse, but the name choice and marketing was garbage).

I get where you're coming from. Its so frustrating that Nintendo is effectively pay-walling their IPs behind their consoles, while screwing over the preservation of digital media and emulations. It sucks Vimm's Lair had to take down many Nintendo 64 games because they came to the Switch.

Sucks even harder they can't emulate them right.

Unless you are a hardcore Nintendo fan OR have money to waste so you can buy a couple of Nintendo exclusive titles....whats the point?

My kid absolutely had to have the switch. Wanted all of 3 Nintendo games for it and mine craft. Got a Steam Deck (was for me but I prefer my PC) .....and they have touched the switch since! all their gaming is on the Deck.

Yeah, they will want to play whatever the new Mario game is, whatever the new Zelda game is or maybe one or two others (and they are old enough to pay for it themselves now) but it's just not worth the money. Already had that conversation and they agree.

Walled gardens are just anti consumer.

This is on Steam so I'm not expecting console enthusiasts.

That being said, I know of plenty die hard Steam people who also play Playstation and or Nintendo consoles.
