Switch 2 sounds so f**king uninspired, like the Wii U (ok I love that console, and Miiverse, but the name choice and marketing was garbage).
Sucks even harder they can't emulate them right.

I respect your opinion but it will be all about the GAMES.
My kid absolutely had to have the switch. Wanted all of 3 Nintendo games for it and mine craft. Got a Steam Deck (was for me but I prefer my PC) .....and they have touched the switch since! all their gaming is on the Deck.
Yeah, they will want to play whatever the new Mario game is, whatever the new Zelda game is or maybe one or two others (and they are old enough to pay for it themselves now) but it's just not worth the money. Already had that conversation and they agree.
Walled gardens are just anti consumer.
That being said, I know of plenty die hard Steam people who also play Playstation and or Nintendo consoles.
