Wacom Pen question
Ordered the One by Wacom because I wanted to use the Norris Digital. Saw that it only had 2k listed under pen pressure while the Norris has 4096.

Will I get the full pressure sensitivity from the new pen?

I worked and own both and the Intuos Pro has a far superior software than the One giving you a higher degree of flexibility, control, and better drawing feel with the pen.

The One by Wacom is a stripped down version of the Intuos software, it's ok but isn't great. It's a very basic entry level to the Wacom range.

If you look for an investment for the long terms then the Intuos Pro is just a better product.
You can also find them as a second hand sale. the hardware is pretty good built.

If the One by Wacom came with the same Intuos Pro software pen driver then it would be a fantastic product.

You honestly don't need that much, 2k is fine. It's honestly not going to be noticeable

Idk about the specifics, but I'll bump this for you so someone with better knowledge of them can help.

Still need to get a new wacom, but i mostly just use my phone now

Thx for the answer.
I've always been pretty light handed, will the extra PS matter in registering a pen stroke?
are you talking about the Wacom Touch Display or the Pen Tablet product?

Alright, an extra 100 bucks on a used medium size seems fine so I canceled the order and picked one from Amazon that said Very Good.

Thanks

Did they ever come out with a Pen that does everything without relaying on a tablet or display to function?

e.g. You connect a pen to your device and start drawing on a tablet, and it just tracks a movement - kind of like a ball mouse from the 90's.

Yes you can do that both with the Display and Tablet Wacom products.

So I can buy a Wacom pen, sync it to my laptop and start drawing on my desktop? Do you have a link for that?

You can do that we any touch screen these days.
The Wacom pen difference is the superior drawing software that Wacom product offers.
You can check it out at wacom website.

From what I've read probably not, maybe in more professional precise work it might but even then.

It's like with higher fps or anything above 2k on a display, yeah maybe you'll notice it a tiny bit but i don't think a human is even capable of taking advantage of all those extra PS increments.

Not unless you're a cute pigtailed girl getting ready for a martial arts calligraphy duel.
