You can't go wrong with either, it just depends which feels more comfortable to hold (DS5 is a bit more chunky while the DS4 is more lean)

get a dualsense, works natively with windows, and the trigger haptics are a nice to have
and dualsense vib motors are linear not rotary, each can shake at any freq or strength, if you are into that kind of thing
The biggest difference is USB - C on ps5 vs micro usb on ps4. That micro usb is flimsy, doesn’t hold a cable and is quickly getting worse. This port alone makes ps5 controller a much more durable choice in my opinion. Built in battery will die relatively quickly and you may be forced to play wired.
Have magnetic tips in mine so it's just a case of moving a magnetic cable close enough for it to snap into place. Tips in all of the wireless devices, that's all controllers, Keyboards, Mice, Headsets, Headphones, Phones and Tablets in my home
