Bought a new switch and it doesn't work
So any guys/girls here with experience who owns a Switch did I buy a broken switch?

The switch was supposedly "brand new" from the store (but it seemed unboxed because there were no tape on the box or any of the inside) and the screen is just black even when i push the power button nothing happens and when i plug the charger nothing happens aswell , no charging indicator just a black screen so did I buy a broken "new" switch? and need to return it?

I would return it ASAP if it was me. Better to not have it be a recurring issue if you do somehow get it working.
Just return it and get a new one. Check to make sure it has the factory seal on it and it isn't broken. Make sure to check the bottom seal also. Of course this only works if you bought it in a brick and mortar store.

where you bought your switch ?
That's similar to what a bricked switch would do.

Return it; seems shady.
Leave it plugged in for a bit. Sometimes an electronic can be so dead that even the charging indicator screen can't display.

If it hits 30 minutes and still no luck though, then return it

Nintendo switch reddit say it can take 8 hours to charge it before any indicator appear on screen or boot it up. But now i have left it for 7 hours and still nothing, with charger plugged in. Yes the place i bouhgt it was a store equelevent to walmart so should not be a shady scam place.

Maybe it was damaged while unloading or somehow it got stuck near a big magnet or something while being moved around the store department. I wouldn't risk it, myself.

so any of you one of you have a switch and it worked booted up straight out of the box when you unboxed it ?
Just exchange it for another one or return

It should have hade small tape sealing flap and a plastic bag switvh is in and couple more bags controller and cords were in and some foam protective covers for switch and a piece of bubble wrap

Yes it didn't have those (white tag with bar code) but it had the plastic bags but seem opened.
Anyway I got it working now after 9 hours charging, it seem the box was pre-opened and used thats why it was complete dead on arrival so seem i bought a pre-owned or used nintendo switch for *NEW* sealed price. anyway it is a bit of hassle to return it and ask for new (maybe ill get another used one) so i think ill just keep it since i got it to work now. but if there is any problem with it like battery drains fast or it die randomly i will return it probably
