Scientific evidence overwhelmingly supports a spherical Earth. Observations from space, ships disappearing hull first over the horizon, and different constellations visible in different hemispheres all confirm this. Furthermore, gravity pulls towards the center of a mass, naturally forming a sphere. A flat Earth model cannot account for these phenomena. The continued belief in a flat Earth despite readily available evidence underscores the importance of scientific literacy. Understanding and accepting scientific principles is crucial for navigating the modern world. Embracing scientific inquiry leads to a more accurate understanding of our place in the universe.

But the time zones are there, because the earth is spinning, not because it´s a sphere.
It already is.

yes but if it was flat I don't think it would need to spin
So stupid people can ask stupid questions.
The Lord of the Rings world is flat. Tolkien drew extensive diagrams of the entire things and how it worked.

I guess I heard of that I don't recall when
is a drop of water floating in space flat?
or does it just appear as a 'spherical' illusion?

One thing is certain, some people's brains are flat.

If it circles around the sun, it would need to spin a bit, or one side would be in darkness for half a year. Also if it wouldn´t spin, the side towards the sun would heat up much more.

But one can get rid of the time zones. These are just added for the sake of it, so that the sun goes up in the morning, and not in the evening, or midday, or midnight, depending on where You are.
