theyre both really good but the opera isn't really my thing
There's a few reasons.
1) I'm old enough to remember when Freddy got up and performed to the world..yes THE WORLD..live. I was a kid but I remember watching as it happened. And he nailed it. Totally and utterly nailed it! Never saw George do that.
2) Queen shifted over 300 million Albums. George shifted about 100 million and some of that only happened because of Elton John.
3) Broader appeal to the wider public. Queen had it.
4) Feddy never ever wrote a xmas song I have hear on repeat in EVERY DAMN SHOP, PUB and RADIO STATION in the UK every single year.
4) You can go to any stadium in the western world for any sport or event and as soon as Bohemian Rhapsody comes on the whole damn crowd will sing along! Sorry but they will! And I dont care how old you are, it comes on the radio then everyone goes waynes world!
And who doesn't love singing about Fat Bottomed girls, Flash, Rocking You, Radio Ga Ga or Breaking free?
Nothing wrong with George if's he's your thing musically speaking (and you never ran into him in a public toilet) but either way, they where both UK acts, both as gay as a unicorn spaffing rainbows (as many where) and they both left a unique musical mark on the world.
