Trying to call humanoid birds as "featheries" would be as hard as trying to make everyone not call guinea pigs guinea pigs and instead call them cavys (a far better name)
No harpies are people who dress up as a harp.

It was a cheetah all along.
There are others, like swan maidens but they´re also only female, as the name suggests. And if they´re male, they´re usually individual gods.
So the correct term would be "Bird people" or short: "Birdx". Usually the bird people community refers to themselves as Birdx.
