Why are Apple products so popular?

Apple phones, laptops, earbuds and others.

What is so special about Apple products?

Are they really better than windows and android?

Apple dominates the phone market because it is not just a tech device it is an accessory as well as a status symbol.

They do this by appealing to trend as wells as tech.

Microsoft has tried this a few times and so has Android but they can't ever out-style apple and so it just comes off badly.

Same reason why a leather handbag is able to be sold for $10k+ just because of some letters.

There was a time when Apple products were quality computers for the average Joe(still higher than usual price). But then they lost all that, adopted the industry's problems(processors, UNIX, tossing out 32-bit applications, etc). And now its just expensive simply because of the name. I miss when Apple Corporation was Apple Computer Corporation.
The price doesn't really make sense anyway since everything is made by slave labor in China(and nearby regions).

Trendy. Though they do have patents worth noting. However smartphones etc are mostly just trendy things. Can't really say if they are "better", just based on preference I'd say. But one thing for sure is that their products are often not made with quality, their charger cables rip easily than any cords I've used in my life (seriously).

Probably for the same reason Nvidia GPUs are so popular. Though depending on who you ask, one of them's actually worth the value of the product that they're charging for, while the other one is simply skimming off the top because they can, and could care less whether less "affluent" people can afford their halo product.

But you gotta switch it every few years because average joe are not professionals to open the sealed phone case (potentially obliterating it). You are pretty much forced to get a new one. Pricey.

"Good design is as little design as possible."

Simple lines and color is exactly what the Iphone does so well.

But I googled it once and most of the affluent people seem to all use Iphones.

Let me tell you, I've once bought chinese smartphone from bestbuy. As user experience goes, it was better smartphone than apple or galaxy at the time. Cheaper too. But hey, money burning is a trend. So why not.
